Duo’s self-enrollment makes it easy to register your phone and install the Duo Mobile application on a smartphone or tablet. Two-factor authentication is a second layer of security and mandatory for all users who log into campus systems with NUID and password.
Duo Mobil is an app that runs on iOS and Android phones and tablets. It's fast and easy, doesn't require cell services, and works in any country. Duo pushes a login request to Duo Mobile when you have mobile data or Wi-Fi connectivity to the internet. When you have no data service, you can generate passcodes with Duo Mobile for logging into applications by selecting to 'Text Message Passcode' option.
Enroll in 2-factor authentication (Duo) through the TrueYou Identity Management system.
- Open an internet browser and go to https://trueyou.nebraska.edu
- Click the

button
- Log in with your NUID and password
- Click the
link
- Click the
link at the bottom of the page
- The Duo universal prompt will appear with options to verify your identity
- Click the ‘Add a device’ tile
to begin the device enrollment
- Download the Duo Mobile app to allow your device to scan the QR code
- More than one device may be enrolled
