If you have recently changed offices, added a display, or unplugged your laptop from your dock, you may be experiencing issues with your displays not lining up with where they seemingly should be. Maybe you have to move your mouse off the right side of the screen to get it to come onto the left side of another, or off the bottom of one display to make your cursor appear at the top of another. These issues can be remedied by changing monitor placement in your Display Settings.
- Select the Search Bar on the left side of your Taskbar
- Search "Display Settings" in the Search Bar
- Select "Identify" to determine which display is currently in what physical position.
- Click and drag numbered displays within the Display Settings to rearrange your displays, ideally matching their position in physical space.
- Click "Apply" to apply display position changes
- If you want to change the display on which your Desktop shortcuts and Taskbar icons are displayed, select the display that you would like to make your main display, then select "Make this my main display."
Your displays should now function as expected!
