When setting up Microsoft Authenticator on a new phone if the phone number remained the same users will be able to log into the authenticator app.
1. Download the Microsoft authenticator app.
2. When opening the app users will be provided with four options: sign in with Microsoft, add work or school account, scan a QR code, or restore from backup.
3. Select work or school account.
4. Log in with your email and password.
5. Once presented with the authentication request select, I can't use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now.
6. Select text.
7. Input verification code.
