If you are still using office 2016 you may have or currently are experiencing an issue that states outlook requires updates please continue reading. This is due to it being out of date. Are you seeing a message like the one below?

Select the windows button
in the bottom left hand side of your screen.
- Select the settings button

Go to update and security
-
Select Advanced options
-
Click Receive updates for other Microsoft products when you update Windows on

Leave advanced settings and back to the windows update section.

Check for updates
- After the updates are completed reboot your computer.
You may need to check for updates and reboot more than once.
