Can I send a campus announcement in the Pathify Portal?
Answer
If you want to request an announcement in the Portal for a large group of recipients, such as students or staff, you will need to submit a service request.
The requirements for the announcement request:

Type of Alert mandatory

Notice <most common>
Notices are directly issued to a user's Activity Feed and considered informational messages.

Alert <special notices>
Alerts are prominently displayed at the top of a user's Activity Feed for urgent or special updates.

Emergency <requires admin approval>
Emergencies remain prominently displayed at the top of a User’s Activity Feed for immediate emergency information.

Announcements last until someone sees them or, if required, acknowledges them; that is why they need an expiration date so that someone doesn't see old information.
