When to use Virtual Private Network (VPN)
- If logging into MyPSC (Production environment) from off campus, you should connect to VPN.
- If logging into MyPSC (any of the lower environments) from off campus, you must connect to the VPN first.
- If logging into FileZilla to transfer files (Production or lower environments) from off campus, you must connect to the VPN first.
- If logging in to access network drives from off campus, you must connect to the VPN first. See instructions below.
- If logging into WebFocus from off campus, you must connect to the VPN first.
How to connect:
- Click on the small upward facing arrow on the bottom right of your taskbar (near the clock).
- Click on the FortiClinet icon .
- Select Connect to Peru State College VPN
- This will bring up a login screen to connect to the VPN. Username is your email excluding the @peru.edu. (i.e. JSmith) Password will be your email password.
- When you are finished click on the Forticlient icon and select Disconnect Peru State College VPN
Mapping Drives While Connected to VPN (Windows)
- Sign Out (DO NOT shut down or restart.)
- There are two methods to sign out:
- Start menu sign out
- Go to the start menu and select your name
- Select Sign out
- CTRL-ALT_DELETE (Press the 3 keys at the same time)sign out
- CTRL-ALT-DELETE
- Seclect Sign out
- Start menu sign out
